Yoga Class Club: July 2025
Hey Everybody,
Welcome to July in our Yoga Class Club! ☀️
Don’t forget that I’ve created a new and updated version of our Yoga Class Club that you can now use – check it out and see if you like it here! (Log in with your JRY website info if prompted.)
This month’s collection of classes offers a well-rounded mix to support your practice all month long – whether you're looking for something short and focused, mellow and grounding, or energizing and challenging.
If you're short on time this month, our 10-minute warm-up flows are a great way to keep moving consistently. Each one offers a targeted experience all wrapped up in a quick and purposeful format.
You’ll also find two gentle, floor-based practices that are perfect for winding down or for days when you want to move without too much energetic output – while still feeling like you’ve done something meaningful for your body.
Our active flow selections this month include a heart-opening sequence, a lower-body exploration through the theme of hanumanasana (forward splits), and a special guest class from Magnus Ringberg! Magnus brings a research-informed perspective to a creative and dynamic sun salutation-style flow – our practicing community in general has been loving his classes!
And if you're craving a little more intensity, check out this month’s strong flows, which dial up the challenge while staying grounded in mindful movement and breath.
Finally, our specialty offering this month is a unique pair of classes:
Mirror Flow: Active Pigeon and Mirror Flow: Passive Pigeon. These two flows are structured similarly but feel very different – one more strength-based, the other more Yin/restorative. Try them individually or as a complementary pair.
A few reminders about our Yoga Class Club:
– Feel free to branch out and explore any other classes from the greater class library that feel right for you. This July selection is meant to offer a balanced month-long plan, but you’re always welcome to mix and match.
– You can substitute any class from the library (or even from another yoga studio or teacher, if you practice with others elsewhere too!) if something I’ve selected this month isn’t quite the right fit for you. If you’re using the Accountability Checklist (scroll down to find it), you can note your swaps there as well.
I hope you enjoy this month’s Yoga Class Club lineup, and I’m so glad to be sharing the practice with you!
–Jenni
P.S. I’m always here in our community forum if you have questions, thoughts, or just want to say hi. 💬
Warm-Up Flows: 10-minute yoga/movement snacks
–Take each class 1x/week this month
-
Light Lower Body Focus
In this short flow, we start by connecting to our back body and front core, and then we move into one of my favorite reclined moves that targets the inner leg lines (adductors)!
Then we make our way through a playful standing flow that will keep you focused on the present moment. :)
-
Touching in on the Shoulders & Spine
We start this potent, quick flow with an exploration of scapular (shoulder blade) movement.
Then we take a visit to puppy pose before we transition into an energizing standing flow. I hope you enjoy this quick yoga practice to break up your day!
Gentle yoga practices – when you want to move, but without a lot of effort
–Take each class once this month (and more if you need it)
-
Floor-Based Wind-Down Practice (24 min)
This is a great practice for settling in and feeling your whole body (especially the hips and spine) through focused stretches. We never leave the wonderful position of lying on the floor (hehe), but we target so many muscle groups in intentional ways! The energetic effort output is low, but the focus and mindfulness is high!
-
Keep It Low Mellow Flow 2 (32 min)
My body always feels extra amazing after this practice! This practice has a distinct focus on upper body mobilizing movements, but we also practice some targeted hip-opening movements as well. This class consists of more movement than the uber-gentle restorative class I chose for this month, but it’s still on the mellow and lovely side. :)
Active yoga practices – we flow and connect to our breath, but the challenge level is moderate
Take each class at least 2x this month
-
Heart-Opening Flow (41 min)
This heart-opening flow practice moves our whole body, but we have an added layer of focus on the upper and mid-back (thoracic spine) region, and the shoulders!
We weave all of this mobilizing into some fun peak poses. Enjoy this creative, active flow!
-
Hanumanasana (Forward Splits) Practice (37 min)
This class is ultimately about more than hanumanasana :) – it’s about tuning into our lower body, and specifically our hamstrings and hip flexors. But we get to do so through the theme of the classic yoga pose hanumanasana. And you know that it doesn’t matter at all how low or how “deep” your forward splits is! This is more about the fun of using the container of the shape to explore how our body moves. (And I do think it’s interesting to check in on how we embody the forward split shape from time to time!)
-
Creative Sun Salutation Flow / Special Guest(!) Magnus Ringberg (40 min)
Magnus Ringberg is a physiotherapist, sports medicine researcher, and yoga teacher, and his yoga classes are rooted in a deep understanding of movement science.
This innovative practice begins with a hip and spinal warm-up, and then it moves into a lunge-type sun salutation flow which incorporates shoulder mobilizing, lower body loading, and an abundance of dynamic and creative movements.
Strong flows (optional)– when we really want to level up the challenge!
Take each class 2x this month if your body wants a more fiery practice
-
Vigorous Vinyasa Flow 8 (49 min)
This might be my favorite class so far in our Vigorous Vinyasa Flow series! This is a general, whole body flow, but there’s a sneaky extra focus on the ankles here. Yes, the ankles! In fact, the day after I recently took this class, my calves were sore! I hope you enjoy this fun and challenging practice if you try it out.
-
Core Connected Flow 2 (47 min)
This class includes some of my favorite and super fun rotational movements: reverse tabletop to clamshell raise and Marichyasana C (seated twist) to forearm side plank! Aside from these highlights, we also move through an active, energizing standing flow that specifically challenges the quads and hip flexors.
Specialty class (optional) – This month, we have a cool pair of classes for our specialty class! These two classes “mirror” each other in that they consist of similar sequencing on the outside, but they’re different on the inside: one is active and one is passive.
You could choose to take these two classes back-to-back in whichever order would serve you best, or you can of course treat each class as an individual practice on its own.
Take this one or both classes one or more times this month if this specialty focus feels relevant for your body!

Mirror Flow: Active Pigeon (22 min)
-
Mirror Flow: Passive Pigeon (25 min)
