Strengthen Your Neck

This short, approachable practice is all about gently strengthening the neck region. It’s designed to help you feel more connected to this area of your body and build resilience over time – without anything intimidating or extreme.

For many of us, strengthening the neck is a brand-new experience. That novelty can be beneficial in and of itself: new and varied movements can improve proprioception, body awareness, and our nervous system’s internal “map” of our body. These clearer signals can offer our system a sense of reassurance and potentially contribute to feeling better in this area.

This class is gentle and totally scalable – you don’t need to be “strong” to begin. We’ll work mostly with isometric holds and small, controlled movements that meet you where you are. The goal isn’t to push hard; it’s to offer your neck thoughtful, progressive input that may help you feel more confident and supported here.

(Disclaimer: this neck strengthening practice is not meant to be a treatment for neck conditions and does not constitute medical advice. Please see a physical therapist for any neck-related issues you might be dealing with.)

This practice utilizes 1 chair and one optional resistance band.
